We love koalas!
Hello my friends! Today, I’m going to show you how to draw the koalas.
Step 1: Draw four circles to represent the koala’s head, ears and body.
Step 2: Add arms, legs and a big nose. They are like rectangle shapes with round corners.
Step 3: Draw two ovals for the mouth and one big oval for the tummy. Add one spiky circle to each of the ears.
Step 4: Add spiky paws.
Step 5: Colour it with grey and black.
Step 6: Add details like eyes and stitches.
Yoohoo!! You just created Kevin the Koala! Good job!
Kevin is the big brother in the koala triplets. He has two younger sisters.
This is Kelly. She has cute red cheeks.
And this is Kylie, who has a beautiful bow on her head.
Together, they are the happiest koala triplets.
But since late last year, the koala triplets haven’t been so happy because there were terrible bushfires that destroyed their home. Many of their friends who lived in the bush were badly injured.
Luckily, there were firefighters and volunteers who helped to put out the fires and save the lives of many animals, birds and insects. At this time we were so upset we decided that Ginnie and Pinney would donate $5 for every set of books purchased over 2020 to help the fire appeal.
Do you know you can also help to protect our habitat and you don’t have to have super powers to be a hero to save the environment?
Here are things you can do to help:
- Do not litter. That means throwing rubbish, especially plastic on the ground
- Use reusable bottles and bags.
- Recycle everything that has a recycle symbol on it.
- Keep your dogs and cats away from the wildlife.
- Ask your parents to drive carefully when out driving, especially in the country.
And many more…
We need to work together to make the world a better place!
Oh, and the koala triplets would like to say something to you:
Thank you, heroes!
