Shopping News!

I am very aware that I haven’t written a thing over the last nearly twelve months. Sometimes I need the time to reflect about what it is I want to say.

We are reeling from the shocking news of the paedophile that infiltrated a number of ELC ‘s across Victoria. Our hearts go out to you, the children and the parents. We hope you are okay and seeking as much help as you need.

Despite this we hope you had a good break and feel somewhat refreshed.

Also, Winnie and I want to thank you for your support in buying our resources. For us, like for many of you, the year hasn’t started off as well as we would have liked.

After spending a lot of time (and money) creating our excellent online professional development module with Doctor of Education, Tessa Weadman, (La Trobe University) and at the suggestion of Victorian Department of Education and Training, we found we were not able to add the module to the SRF menu for this year or next. Apparently the next official submission round will be later this year and the PD may not be added to the SRF menu until 2027. Needless to say we were very disappointed.

HOWEVER there is a little bit of good news for you and for us. If you haven’t already subscribed to this very helpful resource I believe you are able to do so via the regional branches that have the ability to grant the funds for the PD on application, separate to the School Readiness Funding. If you are having a problem with this please let us know and we will follow it up with the Department.

Subscription for the PD is for twelve months and for up to three individual teachers.

I know that each of you are incredibly busy but if you have subscribed to the PD we would love and value your feedback.

On a fun note. Winnie and I have constantly been told how gorgeous our characters are so we have created some merchandise via Redbubble. Some of you might like to purchase a hat, t-shirt etc. for your own child or yourself. It all looks very cute. Winnie has done a great job creating the images for the products.

Just click on the link and take a look.

Let’s hope Term 3 is peaceful and non eventful.

Wishing you all the best.

Bye for now, Penny (and Winnie)
