Cheers to Ginnie!

Hi little buddies. Have you ever wondered how Ginnie drinks with her long neck?

Here’s a photo I took when Ginnie visited me and I offered her an orange juice.

Lick, lick, lick….

I know what you might be thinking. Ginnie is a very unique giraffe who walks on two legs and has quite smooth and flexible arms so she can easily pick up a glass of orange juice and drink from it. But what about the other giraffe friends who live in the savanna?

Good question!

As you may have noticed, it is a bit tricky to find a glass of orange juice in the wild. Our giraffe friends decided to drink plenty of water every couple of days so they can spend long periods searching for food in dry and arid areas. But why do they drink in every couple of days?

Here’s why:

Can you imagine how difficult it is to drink in this pose…

Luckily we all have shorter necks and easier access to a glass of orange juice:)

Every time when I see a giraffe I’m just so amazed by how beautiful and astounding the creature is.

I think I’m going to pour a glass of orange juice and propose a toast now.

Cheers to Ginnie!
